FAQ

We've got answers

  • What is Permanent Jewelry?
Permanent jewelry is a custom-fitted bracelet, necklace, or anklet that is welded closed around you, eliminating the need for a traditional clasp. It stays securely in place until you're ready to remove it.
  • How to care for my Permanent Jewelry?
Caring for your permanent jewelry is easy. Avoid harsh chemicals, clean it gently with mild soap and water, and polish it occasionally to maintain its shine. Just because they're permanent doesn't mean they're indestructible, so as you would with any other jewelry just make sure you're taking care of it and it can last you a lifetime!
  • Can I remove my permanent jewelry if necessary?
Yes. All you have to do is take scissors and cut where the jewelry was joined. This makes it so you can bring it back to be made permanent again. If you can help it, use scissors to cut it instead of pulling jewelry apart. Pulling it apart will remove the possibility of re-joining and considerably weaken the other links.
  • Will my permanent jewelry turn my skin green?
No. Gold-Filled has a much higher gold percentage which helps to make the jewelry extremely resistant to wear and tear from everyday wear.
  • What does gold-filled mean?
Gold-filled is 5% or more gold in total weight and is significantly more resistant to wear and tear. This is why we like to use this material for permanent jewelry because it is considered "anti-tarnish".
  • Are gold-filled and gold-plated the same?
No, they are not. Gold-filled jewelry has a thicker gold layer (5% or more) and is more durable and long-lasting which is best for permanent jewelry, while gold-plated (0.05% or less) jewelry has a thinner gold layer and will not withstand wear and tear as well. We use gold plated for Charm Bar chains and charms because it is more cost effective and we recommend you take off charm bar jewelry when swimming, showering etc.
  • Does permanent jewelry hurt to put on?
Not at all! The welding process is painless, as no heat touches your skin. A tiny little spark that welds the joint together. It’s a quick, easy, and safe process!
  • Can I go through security at the airport with permanent jewelry?
Yes! Permanent jewelry is TSA-friendly, and you can pass through airport security without having to remove it.
  • What happens if my permanent jewelry breaks?
If your jewelry breaks, you can bring it back for a repair!
